This model’s creator didn’t give much additional information, but you can make the dragon with just one print!

Although the Dragonite model’s creator withheld all the settings they employed, a few other recorded makers did. Toothless

You may recall the main dragon character, Toothless if you (or your child) enjoy the How to Train Your Dragon animated films and TV series.

This adorable little dragon can be printed in three dimensions, and the design shows Toothless sitting awkwardly with his tongue protruding. This dragon comprises six unique 3D printable parts, each of which can be printed in a different color to enhance the model’s appearance.

If your printer has an MMU, you can either use the multi-material unit version of the model or print the various parts in various filament colors to create the multi-color effect.

Unfortunately, the designer of this dragon model did not offer any printing advice. However, some users in the community prints section mentioned that they turned on supports for the prints and that the tail needs special care because it is so thin. But the adorable prints demonstrate that Toothless is printable and can travel with you on your adventures!

Dragon Hatchling

It’s always wisest to begin your search for a dragon with a hatchling. Our sources claim they require less food to maintain and are much simpler to train.

Although it prints in one step, this model needs support. As with any detailed model, the layer height should be as low as possible.

Cute Dragon

Maybe you prefer a cute little model for your desk rather than a terrifying creature. If so, this adorable dragon design is the one for you!

As many users have noted, the variant we chose has built-in custom supports, which makes printing simple.

Flexi-Dragon

The Flexi-Dragon can move but not as much as the articulated serpent dragon. Its wings and body are somewhat articulated and flexible thanks to the numerous hinge joints. However, it’s crucial to note that, unlike ball joints, these types of joints won’t maintain their position independently.

The great thing about this Flexi-Dragon is how simple it is to print! The entire dragon only requires three different prints because all the joints are print-in-place. For you to select the set of wings you prefer the most, the project’s creator also created an alternative set.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to print the Flexi-Dragon, especially since the designer has shared some of the settings they used to produce a successful model. These parameters include neither supports nor rafts, a layer height of 0.2 mm, and an infill density of 5%!

  • Designer: Benchy4Life
  • Printability/Popularity: There are 16 remixes, nearly 500 recorded makes, and an astounding 310,000 downloads for The Flexi-Dragon! You ought to be able to create your own Flexi-Dragon, given the community’s many successful prints.
