The American pool firm San Juan Pools recently showcased what it calls the world’s first 3D printed fiberglass pool. The pool was initially shown on American television in a late episode of the morning program Fox and Friends. The pool’s Florida-based maker claims that it is environmentally friendly and constructed of recyclable materials. Construction work of the pool can be completed in about a week, and it is considerably less expensive than a traditionally built pool.

A unique Vinyl Esther Resin and fiberglass are the materials utilized in the 3D printing technique. We infer that the main body of the pool was manufactured using fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology, even if the manufacturer hasn’t specified what technology was utilized or which parts were specifically 3D printed. The Baja Beach model 3D-printed pool is finished and is 12′ x 25′ with a 3′ depth. A separate, heat-able jacuzzi portion is located at the back of the building. It has a 12-foot-long acrylic glass window on the exterior. Although the front half of it isn’t really designed for swimming, the relatively shallow pool is ideal for kids to paddle around in and for adults who just want to cool off and relax in the water.
